    With the recent installation of Vault 2021 and 2022, users have noticed that they are unable to log into Vault. After filling in the login details and server information, the client it stuck at the “login successful” step. Logging into Vault through application add-ins still works as expected.

    There is a “Privacy Settings” dialog in the background that awaits input, preventing the user from logging in.

    Autodesk is aware of this problem and is working on a solution. The current workaround is to launch another Autodesk product (i.e. Inventor View or DWG True View), set the desired privacy settings there and then saving by clicking OK on this dialog. The next time the Vault client is launched, the login will be successful.
