Adding and Modifying Ceilings

In Revit, ceilings are modelled using reflected ceiling plans. You can add ceilings by selecting a room boundary, or by sketching ceilings that do not fill an entire room. You can create basic ceilings made of acoustical tile grids, or you can create custom ceilings of different height with a soffit wall added between. In addition to creating a ceiling, you can also place ceiling fixtures directly onto ceiling elements.

  • Ceiling plans are typically created when you add a level with a view, as shown.
