Question:

Can you control if the Layers Panel and Main Toolbar are hidden at Project Startup?

Answer:

Yes – In MapThat V5 and onwards you can now configure, per Project, whether the Layers Panel and/or the Main Toolbar are shown or hidden at Project Startup.

Main Toolbar showing –

Layers Panel showing –

In your Project settings you can choose to tick or untick these two settings:

  • Auto Show Layer Panel
  • Auto Show Main Toolbar

….or you can mix and match and choose to auto show one but hide the other.

These are great options if you wish to make the look and feel of MapThat more lightweight e.g. for Public MapThat projects, as you can simply hide panels and toolbars that users may not need to use.
