Extending the front “Dormer” wall through the roof, as shown in Figure 1.

This is one possible solution. Once the main walls and the roof of the project have been created, the location of the “Dormer” can be set using “Reference Plans” as shown in Figure 2.

    Figure 2.

Open the “Level 1” view to create the front wall of the “Dormer”, select a suitable “Wall” type and set the wall “Location Line” to “Finish Face Interior”. Create the wall between the two “Reference Planes”, set the “Unconnected Height” of the wall set, to a suitable value, as shown in Figure 3.

    Figure 3.

Add the other two side walls of the “Dormer”, but this time set the “Location Line” set to “Finish Face Exterior”, again set the “Unconnected Height” of the walls to a suitable value, as shown in Figure 4.

    Figure 4.

Add the “Dormer” roof using “Roof by Footprint”, specifying a suitable value for “Overhang” and remove the “Slope” angle from the edge of the “Dormer” roof that will be “Joined” to the main roof. In this example both the back and front roof edges have had the “Slope” angles removed.

Set the height of the roof to a suitable value, in this example the height of the roof is the same as the walls, as shown in Figure 5.

In the “3D View”, view the model from the top and set the “Visual Style” to “Wire Frame” using the “Join / Unjoin roof” command,  join the “Dormer” roof to the main roof.

Create the “Dormer Opening”, check that all the created “Dormer” opening lines are joined using the “Trim / Extend to Corner” command.

Edit the main “Roof Footprint” to incorporate the “Dormer” front wall and remove the roof “Slope” angle from the three created roof lines, as shown in Figure 6.

Select the “Dormer” walls and “Attach” to the “Dormer” roof, select the two “Dormer side walls, and using the “Attach Wall” to “Base” option, select the main roof, change the “Visual Style” to view the created “Dormer”, as shown in Figure 7.

Repeat the process for additional “Dormers” as required, as shown in Figure 8.
