Adding a Different Profile to a Stair Stringer

The stair run on the left shows the standard closed stringer. The stair run on the right shows a C Profile closed stringer applied to the right side.

Select the standard stair (Assembled Stair Private) and click Edit Type. In the Edit Type dialogue box scroll down to Right Support Type and click the browse button as shown.

Remember to duplicate and rename your new stringer profile. Click apply and close and check the new stringer profile in a 3D view. Note that you may have to load the appropriate C Channel profile into your project first.
