STL export from Revit

Question:

I need to export a Revit model to STL format. Do I need to install a 3^rd party app?

Answer:

For versions prior to 2021.1. STL exporting functionality was provided via an add-on obtained from the App store. However, with the release of 2021.1 exporting to STL format became a built-in function. From either a component family or a project. Switch to a 3D View and choose export CAD format.

Select STL format and adjust the desired options to suit.
