As an example, we will look at a ‘Water Storage Plantroom’ but the process and concept remains the same for other plantrooms in Cyspace. These plantrooms as a default can take up large volumes of valuable floor space. Therefore knowing how to overlap shared access areas will be incredibly important.
As you can see below, the dimensions of the plantroom are 15.7 x 5 x 3.6 metres.
As space is a premium, we are going to customise the output in order to create a solution that is dimensionally acceptable.
Step 1
Select a surface and drag a wall to create more internal space. This way we can move equipment around.
Step 2
Select the equipment to move around utilising the access as shared access area.
Tip: Right-button click on the appliance to rotate 90° left or right.
Step 3
Pull the surfaces back in to shrink the layout as seen below:
The existing plantroom dimensions were 15.7 x 5 which is 78.5 m2.
By using the output customising capabilities, we have shrunk the new solution to 7.1 x 7.2 which is 51.12 m2 . That’s a total space saving of 27 metres squared in a matter of seconds.
