Recently I posted a tip on how Revit’s Wall Sweep tool could be used to model interior details such as skirting or coving.
However, these sweep objects do not always have the necessary controls to allow for such features as door architraves. In the example below the skiting feature clashes with the architrave and needs to be offset back to be presented correctly. This is a common issue for anyone having to present interior visuals and elevations.
Should the control handles not be present, modify the sweep family and turn off the cut by inserts option.
Once disabled the skirting can be adjusted to suit as shown in the image below.
