When modelling Precast stair types in Revit, an error message often results with the following; ‘A notch join can only be used when the run end tread is coplanar with the landing tread. Clear the Begin with Riser or End with Riser instance property for the run to use the notch join.’

To access the stair flight properties. Simply clear the alert message and select the stair flight. Untick the required properties and now finish the sketch. The precast stair geometry should now display as desired.
