Autodesk has now released AutoCAD 2021. Along with the usual set of fixes and improvements there are several new features.
Firstly the interface has changed slightly to fit better with the theme. There is also a noticeable speed boost in graphics performance when navigating a drawing.
Trim/Extend
The Trim and Extend commands have been streamlined so there is no need to pick the first line and you can draw a freehand line for selection:
Revision Clouds
Revision Clouds now have their own properties, making this easier to change the arc length:
Break Objects at a Single Point
You can now break objects at a single point, splitting the element at that point:
Quick Measure
Quick Measure has now been improved by adding Area and Perimeter to the command:
Drawing History
If you use OneDrive, Dropbox or Box to store drawings in the cloud, you can now use Drawing History to see previous stored versions of the files. You can even compare the versions:
The block palette has also been updated to include these cloud services.
Xref Compare
You can now compare xrefs directly in the Reference manager:
