Removing the start-up splash screen for Revit

This is a common question often asked by users who want to save 2-3 seconds on application start-up.

Question:

How to I turn off the splash Revit screen when Revit starts?

Answer:

Edit the Revit desktop shortcut and add a /nosplash switch to the command string

It should read like the following;

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2013\Program\Revit.exe" /nosplash
