Question:

I have a Revit file that crashes, displays error messages or behaves strangely, does Revit have a file audit tool?

Answer: 

Yes! The audit function is located within the Open dialogue.

This is also a recommended process if migrating the model to a newer version of Revit, as the Audit command fixes any possible problems with the file. A warning will display when auditing saying the process may take a while to complete.
