Question:

How do I alter the frequency of automatic saves within AutoCAD?

Answer:

The save operation frequency for drawing files can be located under the options dialogue, under the Open and Save tab.

N.B. It should be remembered that this save operation is only for the event of a system crash as it creates a temporary SV$ file rather than updating the original DWG file. If AutoCAD crashes, the drawing recovery manager should access the automatic save file permitting users to retrieve their work. However, users should still save their files on a regular basis as the automatic save file will be automatically deleted when AutoCAD exits normally.
