Question:

When I run the Scale Print jobs I get an error message about ODBC Drivers (see below) what could be the cause of this?

Answer:

This issue is related to using the incorrect DRIVERS between PYTHON/OSGEOW and the Server machine.

Here is a related faq - where the incorrect Drivers are referenced between the available Drivers on the server machine and the MTScalePrint.BAT file:

However, on occasion even after following the help provided in the above link, there may still an error message about Drivers when running your Scale Print Jobs. If this is the case, it’s likely that you will need to install extra ODBC (specific) Drivers onto the server machine. To do this follow the steps below:

1 – Download the required ODBC Drivers for SQL 11 or 13 – once installed view your ODBC Administrator Console to see the new ODBC Driver installed.

2 – Ensure that you then update your VE_DBConnections table in MapThat to use the ODBC Drivers instead of the previous SQL Drivers.

3 – Also ensure that you change the Driver value in the MTScalePrint.BAT file to use the ODBC Drivers as well.

Now when you run the new Scale Print jobs, the Command Shell will go passed the Drivers error and continue and run the Job.
