When working with Inventor drawings that have a Model (AutoCAD) sheet, the model space is included as a separate page when a PDF is created (either via Inventor or Vault).

In Vault, the model space can be excluded from AutoCAD drawings using this setting (Tools -> Administration -> Vault Settings -> PDF Publish options):

There is, however, no similar setting for Inventor drawings. When exporting a PDF through Inventor, you can set the sheet range to exclude the 1st Model (AutoCAD) sheet:

Other workarounds:

  • Save the drawing as an .IDW and then as a .DWG again.
  • Open the drawing in AutoCAD, delete all Model space objects and save.

However, there is a much easier way to remove that sheet, particularly when you want Vault to automatically generate PDFs. Right Click any other drawing sheet -> Delete Sheet and expand the dialog.

You can delete the Model (AutoCAD) and keep all the other sheets.
