There may be instances when using Revit where you need something freely editable, that isn’t quite a tag, and is more repetitive than annotations.
This is sometimes called a “dummy” tag. Below is an example of how to do this.
Go to New>Annotation Symbol and pick the Metric Generic Annotation.rft
Here add a new label. This now gives the option to create a new parameter:
Create any parameters needed, if they need to be free entry in the project, use instance parameters.
Add any linework and load into the project:
Then enter the values needed in the project:
