Question: 

Why does my MapThat login fail at Login Step 2?

Answer:

MapThat requires a User to have their Primary Project and Primary Role set to a valid ID. If the User record has a NULL value for these settings, then Step 2 in the login page cannot define which Role or Project should be pre-selected and the Loading page will occur.

To resolve this, edit the User record to have a valid Primary Project (e.g. B Pipelines) and Primary Role (e.g. Admin).

When I now attempt to login, in Step 2 these choices are pre-selected and so I it successfully loads the Step 2 login page.
