AutoCAD Electrical - Unable to communicate with the Project Database Service

Multiple users have reported that after installing updates for Windows 7 and Windows 10, the following errors are shown when using AutoCAD Electrical 2018, 2019 and 2020 while having the latest updates installed for their software.

Examples of error messages:

Usually, this error indicates that the project database has become corrupted and can be resolved by following the steps in this article.

However, if this does not resolve the issue, please uninstall the following update.

This should be found under Microsoft Access Database engine 2010 updates.

It has been confirmed by users on both Windows 7 and 10 running AutoCAD Electrical 2018, 2019 and 2020 that uninstalling this update resolves the issue.

In order to address the issues caused by the KB4484127 update, Microsoft has released update KB2986256. It can be downloaded here.
