  • Have you ever had to recreate drawings from scanned images, PDF’s or from files that you thought you couldn’t utilise?
  • Have you ever had a job that is simply an extension to an original job, but you don’t have the original drawings in DWG format?

With “One” AutoCAD, you have the option of downloading AutoCAD® Raster Design which gives you the ability to use raster design tools in a specialised toolset to edit scanned drawings and convert raster images to DWG™ objects. Similarly with AutoCAD®, you can import a variety of CAD formats from other CAD vendors and convert to DWG™ objects. PDF’s are also easily imported and converted to DWG™ objects.

Once your files are converted to DWG™ objects, you can then make parts of your drawings intelligent to “hook” into them. If the new job is a modification to an old job, then the old job doesn’t need to be made AutoCAD® Electrical intelligent in its entirety; simply the additions and the removals.

If you do have a requirement to import and make your drawings DWG™ objects in a more automated way, then please speak to sales@cadline.co.uk who will be able to assist in any translation or drawing services requirement.
