Navisworks & BIM 360 - Missing Colours

Navisworks and BIM 360 are both really powerful tools to explore a number of different format files, but sometimes there are issues in both, where the display does not match that of the original software.

These issues are when colours seem to go missing and the results appear either blank or black, like the examples below.

Here are 3 suggestions to help with this.

1. Tidy up the original files in their native software. Perform audits/purges and resave in latest version. This can sometimes resolves file specific issues.

2. In Navisworks under Viewpoint>Render Style>Mode switch this to Shaded:

Alternatively, go to Render>System>Autodesk Rendering and delete any “ByLayer” document materials:Navisworks___BIM_360_-_Missing_Colours_-_4.JPG

3. If none of the above solutions work, use Navisworks to easily right click and override the colours. This can be done via the selection tree to make this quicker:
