There are times when you may need to add a Label (Link) to a component or element in Navisworks, such as an Internal Document, CAD Drawing, Cobie Sheet or Schedule.

In the Scene View, select the desired geometry item (Cylinder for example), you will note that it let you know the quick properties (1). Select Links – Add Links (2)

In the Add Link dialog box, enter the name for the link in the Name box (3).

In the Link to File or URL box, browse to the location and select the file required. (4).

Choose the category for your link from the Category drop-down list. By default, your link has a Label category (5).

The Label stays within the Navisworks environment, however, if the Label extends beyond the company data infrastructure or network the link to the file may be lost.
