AutoCAD - File Locking

When opening an already “Opened” or “Locked” file a warning of the state of the file is displayed as shown in Figure 1.

To help identify the drawing status when multiple drawings are open in one session, a “Closed Padlock” icon is now displayed in the file tab at the top of the screen just below the ribbon.

This also appears in 2019, however it’s not quite as visible since the icon is coloured grey, as shown in Figure 2.

In 2020 it is now more visible, since it’s now coloured white as shown in Figure 3.
