AutoCAD - Disabling the Lasso Selection Option

Not a new function to AutoCAD, but a question that crops up on many training courses, “How do I cancel the “Lasso” selection method?”

By default, the “Lasso” selection method is turned on. To disable or turn off, access the “Selection” tab of the “Options” dialogue box.

On the left side of the dialogue remove the “Check” in the box “Allow Press and Drag for Lasso” as shown in Figure 1.

Confirm the changes by selecting “OK”, the “Lasso” option is now disabled.
