Check the ATTMODE system variable

Type in ‘ATTMODE’ <enter>

Setting a value of;

0 – Attribute display is supressed
1 – Will respect individual attribute display settings. Visible attributes will display, invisible will not
2 – All attributes will display regardless of settings

Setting the value to 1 should restore normal AutoCAD behaviour. This value is saved in the drawing so these issues will be document specific.
