Here is a great feature improvement which allows you to use a floating widget window to show the X&Y location and angle as you digitise.
Advanced Editing Floating Widget
In the video below we use the new floating widget window in the Advanced Editing panel to view the X&Y of the cursor location and the angle between the last and next point.
This makes digitising in QGIS 3.8 even more accurate!
