    Introduction

Since AutoCAD 2012 the enhanced standard Array command has been Ribbon based. The Array Classic command is still available for those users who prefer a dialogue box driven array command.

The Array Classic isn’t available on the Ribbon, you have to type it.

This will open the old classic Array Dialogue box where you can select Rectangular or Polar Arrays. Notice the Path Array option is missing. You can only select the Path Array tool from the Ribbon.

This is clearly a matter of user preference. People who have been using AutoCAD for a long time would probably prefer the traditional classic dialogue box.
