3ds Max’s environment and interface can be very daunting to a new user, with drop-down menus, buttons, side panels and quad right click menus, not to mention keyboard shortcuts. These all work differently from AutoCAD, Revit and Inventor. However, fear not, we do have a magic search button which in some ways works in a similar manner to the predictive text function in AutoCAD.
This search button can be found by typing in ‘X’. Think of it as 3ds Max’s ‘eXplore’ function!
Clicking on the listed item will reveal the command in the side panel menu and parameters and modifier lists. Whilst there are other ways of accessing commands this approach is certainly the easiest!
Attend a Cadline 3ds Max course and we will guide you through Max’s extensive toolset. Lunch, tea and biscuits are included! From standard scheduled courses to a more bespoke workshop dependent on your requirements. For more details visit https://training.cadline.co.uk/ or talk to one of our team on 01784 419922.
