AutoCAD 2020 - Assessing the New Block Palette

In AutoCAD 2020, the insertion of blocks has been greatly improved by the introduction of the new “Blocks” palette, as shown in Figure 1.

To access the new “Block Palette”, select the “Insert” command from the “Home” tab of the “Ribbon” and select “Blocks from Other Drawings” at the bottom of the Displayed “Block Gallery”, as shown in Figure 2.

Alternatively, select the “Blocks” tool icon in the view tab of the ribbon menu, as shown in Figure 3.

As with AutoCAD 2019 the “Block Gallery” can be resized by dragging the small triangular icon in the right-hand corner of the “Block Gallery” as shown in Figure 4.
