Install the OSM Place Search tool and it will be added into QGIS and revealed as a new PANEL – OSM place search.

In the new OSM place Search panel, you can search for a location using a town name e.g. Staines. Once you have found the address simply double click on the record and the map will zoom to that location and highlight in blue the address record.
