On a recent visit to an Architectural practice, I noticed that all section and elevation views were being sent out for presentation using Hidden Lines in black and white only.  After a little discussion, they just didn’t realise they could produce excellent results using Revit.  We looked at different ways to give a view some impact, below are just a few examples you can achieve easily by accessing Graphic Display Options.

Select Visual Styles on your View Control Bar, then Graphic Display Options:

Using the Style and background can give you excellent colour options for presentation:

Standard Hidden Lines view – Black and White:

Same view, Shaded with Sky background:

Same view, Shaded with Gradient background:

So get creative and use colour for impact.
