QGIS – Using Calculations within QGIS Widgets

Question:

Did you know that you can use simple calculations when working with Widgets?

Answer:

For example if you wish to edit the stroke width or the offset value of a line, you can simply type the calculation and QGIS will calculate the value for you.

In this example, when editing the Style of a Line you can type an expression such as:

  • Stroke Width = 12/3
  • Offset = 2/12

The QGIS Widget will then make the calculation and complete the actual values:
