From time to time you may wish to access commands by using the “Old-Style” Toolbars, although users are tending to access commands via the “Ribbon”, toolbars can still be added to the workspace. At the end of the day it’s all down to your preference.
To add a “Toolbar”, expand the command list by selecting the drop-down arrow at the right end of the “Quick Access Menu” (highlighted in Figure 1) and select “Show Menu Bar” as shown in Figure 1.

Above the “Ribbon” Menu is now displayed the old style “Menu Bar”. From the “Menu Bar” select “Tools”, then select “Toolbars” then “AutoCAD”, all the available “Toolbars” are now displayed, as shown in Figure 2.

Select the required “Toolbar”, it can now be displayed in the work area. The “Tool bar” can remain as a Floating tool bar and moved by selecting and dragging the group of dots on the left side of the toolbar or docking to the sides.
