Revit 2018: Multiple Alignment of Elements

The Revit “Align” tool is one of those few commands you select before you select the “Element”, this tool is often just used to “Align” one “Element” at a time, but there is another option.

To access the “Align” tool either select the “Modify” tab, then select the “Align” icon in the “Modify” panel 53.JPG  , or type “AL.

The “Align” icon is displayed at the cursor.

Select the reference “Element”, as shown in Figure 1.

Next selected “Element” to be aligned with the previously selected item, the result is shown in Figure 2.

If several “Elements” require “Alignment”, hold down the “CTRL” key and select each one.

Alternatively, check the box in the top left of the “Options” bar, as shown in Figure 3.

Then select any additional “Elements” that may require “Aligning”.

Press the “ESC” key to cancel the current command and restart the “Alignment” process.

Press the “ESC” key twice to “Exit” out of the command.
