AutoCAD 2018 – Dynamic Blocks

Dynamic blocks are special kinds of blocks that can be changed dynamically. Once they are in your drawing, they can be manipulated in a variety of ways, including lengthening a side. The video below demonstrates the steps to create a dynamic cavity wall block with stretch parameters so that you can quickly match your wall perimeter to your floor plan. This dynamic block is ideal for rectangular plans such as a warehouse. You can put the block on to a tool pallet so that it becomes reusable content for future projects.

The following video outlines the steps to create a dynamic cavity wall block in AutoCAD 2018. Dynamic blocks are powerful tools and in many cases, several standard blocks can be replaced by one dynamic block.
