MapThat – Auto Expand Layers List

Question:

How can you auto expand the LAYER List when MapThat startups so that all the Tree Headers are shown?

Answer:

In order for a Project to Auto Expand the Layers List on Project Startup, simply set the VE_PROJECTS – AUTO_EXPAND_LAYER_TREE value to = Y

If the above value is set to = N, then the Layer Tree List is not revealed, but instead the Project Startups by listing the LAYER Tools – Show Layers, Control Layers and Search Layers instead.

Note – the VE_PROJECTS - EXPAND on STARTUP setting. controls whether the whole of the PANEL on the left hand side is shown or hidden at Project startup.

For example if VE_PROJECTS - EXPAND on STARTUP = N, then the LEFT panel is hidden: 

But if VE_PROJECTS - EXPAND on STARTUP = Y, then the LEFT panel is shown:
