Vault Professional - Map Inventor Filename to Item Number

By default, Vault Professional maps the Part Numbers of Inventor files to the Item name.  This is fine in most cases since our Part Number takes the Filename by default.

There are cases where this is not true e.g. custom Part Numbers, Content Center Parts etc and we would actually like to use the filename instead.

We can use the Component Name to achieve this, but it does not appear in the Mappings tab for properties.  It is configured inside the Initial Value dropdown in the Settings tab.

Tools > Administration > Vault Settings > Properties

Now when you assign an item to an Inventor part it will adopt the Component Name rather than the Part Number.
