MapThat – Configuring Open Access

Question:

How do you configure the Open Access User in MapThat?

Answer:

The Open Access tick box will use ONE Users logins details and auto log in to one default project for that chosen User.

To implement this access you should create a GUEST User who will be the Read Only (general access) User for the system, accessing a General/Default Project.

To do this complete the GUEST Users login details using the MapThat Admin Forms, ensuring that the GUEST User has:

• Login Required - unticked
• Default User - ticked
• A Primary ROLE - selected
• A Primary Project - selected
• The Use Primary Role and Project Only - ticked

Finally ensure that for all other MapThat Users, the option of Default User is not ticked. This means that MapThat will now use the one Default User of Guest when the user clicks on the Use Open Access option. MapThat will then log in using the Guest Users credentials, loading their chosen Primary Project.
