Fusion 360 - Freeform Modelling

I posted a picture, on LinkedIn, of some shoes that I had modelled in Fusion 360 and it got a really great response so I promised I would blog about it and well here it is.

So to create this I used something called Freeform modelling that uses T-Splines to help you generate and manipulate a thin mesh into practically any shape imaginable. You can then thicken or turn that mesh into a solid that can then be edited in more traditional ways.

The video is un-edited so as you can see it took me about 25mins to create the basic shoe from start to finish. Not a bad mornings work! Enjoy!
