Using the spacebar to align objects in Revit

Most people are aware that the Space Bar can be used to cycle through the orientation options when placing a component in Revit. What many people don’t know or may have forgotten is that it can also be used to align components.

The animated GIF below shows that if the Space Bar is used whilst hovering over a wall that has been placed at an angle, the component will align itself perpendicular or parallel to the wall in order to make placement easier. This also works on curved walls.
