Transparent commands in AutoCAD.
After posting my last blog QSELECT vs. FILTER command, I realised that I failed to mention that the "Filter" command can also be used transparently.
Transparent commands in AutoCAD can be used whilst in the middle of another command. For example, if I execute the line tool but realise that I am drawing on the wrong layer, I could transparently open the layer manager to switch my current layer.
To use a transparent command, the command must be preceded by a single quotation mark I.e. ‘LAYER
The animated GIF below shows how to invoke the FILTER command whilst in the middle of the copy tool.
