Autodesk have now release Service Pack 1 for AutoCAD 2017 and verticals (Electrical, Mechanical, Map, Civil 3D, Plant 3D & P&ID), which contains a number of fixes and updates. This Service Pack can be downloaded from Autodesk below:

However there has been a lot of discussion regarding this service pack, and suggestions it may break your software.

Please let me clarify this, the first thing to say is “DON’T PANIC!”

The issue only affects users with certain AutoCAD plugins that use the Add-ins tab, and the plug-in auto loader mechanism, resulting in the add-ins commands not being available. This would obviously not affect AutoCAD LT.

We have tested some Autodesk Apps from the App Store, and various Autodesk add-in, even contact some users of third party add-ins, and all seem to be working without any issue on SP1, so this is only an issue for a very limited amount of add-ins. There is also now a hotfix available, so there is no real need to worry.
