How to install Autodesk products with .Net 4.6?

 

Answer:

.Net 4.6 comes preinstalled with Windows 10 and it is a Windows update for Windows 7/8 which causes an installation issue for pre 2017 Autodesk products. If installing, for example, AutoCAD 2016 on Windows 7/8, Microsoft advise to uninstall .Net 4.6 first. If you are attempting to install on Windows 10, there is a registry change workaround, although not officially supported by Autodesk.
