Autodesk have released details of some of the new functionality coming in imminent release of AutoCAD 2017. Check out the details below.

See the AutoCAD 2017 Product Matrix here:

    Simplified:

Smart centerlines and center marks: It's easy to create and edit centerlines and center marks. When you move associated objects, the centerlines and center marks automatically move with your object.

    Coordination model (enhanced):

Attach and view Navisworks and BIM 360 Glue models directly inside AutoCAD software. New functionality lets you to snap to precise locations on an attached coordination model using the standard 2D endpoint and center object snaps.

AutoCAD 360 Pro mobile app- Cloud service:

AutoCAD 360 Pro is now included with your subscription. The app lets you take the power of AutoCAD wherever you go:

    • Draft, edit, and view 2D CAD drawings across multiple devices.
    • Measure drawings accurately while on site.
    • Access drawings from any cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
    • Work offline and sync changes when back online, and more.

Share design views - Cloud Service:

Share your 2D and 3D CAD drawings in the cloud. Your reviewers don’t need a login or even an AutoCAD-based product to view your drawings, and they can’t alter your source DWG™ file.

    Import PDFs:

PDFs have been added to the Import File formats. Import the geometry, TrueType text, and raster images from a PDF file or underlay them into your drawing as AutoCAD objects.

    3D printing (enhanced):

You have several options for 3D printing: You can send your 3D models to an external 3D print service. Or, install the Print Studio tool and either connect to a 3D printer or create a print file for later.

    Migration tools (enhanced):

Migrate your custom settings and files with ease from previous releases. Your settings are auto-detected, and you choose which ones to migrate.

    Autodesk desktop app -Cloud service:

Get alerts on software updates without disrupting your workflow. Tutorials help you get the most out of the new features. Build skills with product-specific tips, content libraries, and more.
