We had a recent support call, where an Inventor user wanted to stop the PDF that they were creating from opening up after it was published by Inventor.
After a bit of experimentation, I figured out how to do this!
The PDF export options do not contain any obvious settings to disable a preview after the file is published. The good news, is that the setting we are looking for, is held in the DWF options.
To stop the PDF from opening after it is published, you will need to first publish a DWF, and you will need to untick the “Display Published File in Viewer” option. Any PDF’s published will now not open up automatically after they are published.
You can change this setting back if you wish to change the preview behaviour.
