AutoCAD Electrical 2016 - Adding a Terminal into the Parts Database & Associating a Footprint

Adding a part into the parts database is easy but in order for the terminal editor to draw the terminal correctly, the manufacturer’s footprint must be associated with the correct part information.

This month’s Tips & Tricks goes through the whole process from creating the new part, creating a footprint correctly and associating the footprint to the part via the footprint database editor. This could have been done as 3 separate articles but we thought it would be easier as a single reference guide.
