Automatic Instrument Loop Diagram Creation

The following video shows you how AutoCAD Electrical can be utilised to create automatic loop diagrams from Microsoft Excel (XLS) data. The data could have been generated initially from P&ID information extracted predominantly from another software e.g. AutoCAD P&ID. AutoCAD Electrical allows the user to map the Excel data to the AutoCAD Electrical equivalent field. Once mapped the user can save the settings so that this process doesn’t have to be repeated.

Loop diagrams can also be referred to as control & field instrumentation, instrument loops & process instrument drawings / diagrams to name a few.
