Autodesk Inventor 2016 – Checking the version of the graphics card driver (NVIDIA)

If you are experiencing software crashes, memory leaks, or visual artefacts in Autodesk Inventor or Autodesk AutoCAD, that could be a sign that you are running an incompatible (out-of-date or not supported) graphics driver.

Before you upgrade or downgrade your driver, it is always a good idea to check which version you are running at the moment.

This can be done in a few easy steps:

• Go to your desktop, right-click anywhere and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
• Click the little house icon.
• Note the Version of your driver and the GPU Model. (62, Quadro K2000 on my machine)

Now, check if the driver you are running is the one you should be running!

Go to Autodesk’s Certified Software website: http://www.autodesk.com/graphics-hardware

Fill in the form:

Hit Find, and select your graphics card model from the list:

Once the page is loaded, check if the graphics driver version matches the one you currently have installed.
