When you perform a component cross reference you may get an Error/Exception Report advising that you have “Too many NO contacts”

Whilst there may be a valid error, there is also the chance that the report may be misleading because there is an unnecessary attribute in a few symbols in the IEC* libraries.

The following symbols in the IEC2, IEC4 and IEC-60617 have the additional and unrequired attribute of CONTACT with a value of NO. You can open these symbols up (File > Open) and remove the value and/or the CONTACT attribute to rectify.

VCB1

VCB11Q9

VCB11Q13

VCB11Q17

VCB11Q29

VCB11Q33

VCB11Q37

VCB11Q41

VCB11Q45

If you have already placed the symbol in your schematic, it can be easily updated using the Swap / Update Blocks command.
