When using legacy drawings drawn in AutoCAD you may find objects under one another or where lines, that represent as an example a wire, are drawn up in several segments rather than one continuous line you can rectify these anomalies by using the OVERKILL command. This also reduces the file size of your drawings.

    The following can occur when:

    • importing in from other CAD systems that do not create the DWG file correctly
    • users have cut corners
    • scanning images into DWG
