I thought I would share a quick tip learnt from a recent query on Fabrication CADmep. I was asked what was best way to remove insulation from an entire drawing.
When insulation is present, we can turn off or freeze the associated layer, but this is only visually hiding it. With a design line you could easily erase and fill an entire service. However the below method lets you change an entire drawing, even if design line is not used, and will correctly change the item properties to off.
So the first step is to right click one element that has insulation, go to CADmep properties and turn off insulation:
Then use Match Object Properties:
Pick the part with no insulation, then as the destination elements select everything. You will then be presented with a selection of which items to match. Untick everything BUT Item Insulation and press OK:
All insulation is removed from the drawing.
